Kew WI was invited to an after hours walk and talk with Tony Kirkham, Head of the Arboretum. This was a lovely evening, and we were shown the magnificent new greenhouse which is not yet open to the public.
 At our June meeting, we were delighted to have as our guest speaker, Anne Youngson, the author of 'Meet met at the Museum', which was shortlisted for a Costa first novel award.  At our May meeting, we were very pleased to welcome Mike Thexton for his talk on his experience of surviving the Pan Am flight PA073. It was quite a story he had to tell and although it was a terrible experience for Mike, it was an amazing account of what happened, and how it has since affected him.  |
