On 9 February we welcomed Caitlyn Mackesy Davies to KeWI.
Caitlyn explained the principles behind The Transition movement and her aim to build resilience within the Kew community in keeping with those principles and values. On 15 January the walking group began at the Grand Union Canal in North Acton following it through to Little Venice along the back of Regents Park and on to Camden Market and from there onwards to King's Cross.
Introduced by Bee, Committee member responsible for membership, around 50 members joined us on 12 January to hear Hayley Scott from The Forensic Experience tell us about life as a Crime Scene Investigator. We learnt about protecting the crime scene, bagging up and removing evidence, protective gear and the process of identifying suspects from fingerprints. And just how such evidence can lead to successful arrests.
